From ohio. We received 10in of snow. Can't get out of driveway. Dh has 2 sons that live no more than 10mins away. They have not called to check on us. My sons live 30mins away and are coming tonight after work to dig us out. Just peves me off!

They never check on him or see if he needs anything. Just peeves me off. Ok I'm done.

I hear you. Never mind that you are a dementia caregiver, common decency says to look out for the elderly (assuming you are) in bad weather. With 10 in. of snow in the driveway, an EMS crew would not be able to get you out of the house if one of you fell or became ill.

Pittsburgh area here. We got @3.5 in. of snow. I could have driven out of the driveway until the snowplow plowed me in. So I shoveled myself out this afternoon. I'm 64 years old and broke my wrist falling on black ice four years ago shoveling out the end of the driveway. My two sons live 1-1/2 miles away, but it doesn't occur to them that Mom might need some help. End of rant!

I'm in Missouri and got 12 1/2 inches of snow. I, too, am snowed in and have been since Sunday. My DH is in MC so he is being taken care of but I can't get out to go see him. I'm so sorry you are both going through this and your family is not checking on you or offering to help. Ronda, I'm glad your sons are going to help you. It's so frustrating to need help and not have our near ones offer. Sending hugs.
