How does one go about finding a clinical trial?

My mom was recently diagnosed with MCI/dementia. Since she is in the beginning stages, she'd like to participate in clinical trials to help with research. Her mother had Alzheimer's and participated in a trial and she would like to do the same. I don't know where to start. Thanks for your help.

We were only in a study, not really a 'trial'. But it was suggested by MIL's pcp, because she knew about it. So you could maybe start by checking with a local hospital.

You can look up clinical trials at https://clinicaltrials.gov/. Type in Alzheimer's and your zip code.

Another option is to become affiliated with a university hospital's memory center as they're often the ones conducting the trials.

One caveat. Since the approval of the infused treatments like Leqembi, it can take some time to be seen at such practices.
