Catheter in RCFE or MC

I've searched posts on catheter issues…and i'm concerned. (i'm a new member). Dad is 82, slow advancing prostate cancer, ALZ and probably undiagnosed Parkinson's. He is in AL but since mid dec we've hired 24 hour care due to fall risk in AL. We have plans to move him in one week to a board and care. Stage 4 or 5 of ALZ. No info on prostate as he has refused treatment for years. Disposable briefs 24x7 is new - related to problems walking. He is experienced interruptions in urine flow..which is my concern about future need for catheter. Reading the posts….if he needs a catheter, it seems like board/care and MC might not approve him to live there and a SNF will be required (we are in CA). Is that true? I'm afraid we are making a bad decision on moving him now. If a MC can work with a catheter, should I leave him in the AL and just switch to the MC side? Appreciate experience of those who have encountered this issue. (no other med needs like diabetes care, etc.)
