How can I stop seeing a particular discussion?

I love this site and the community brought together by this horrible, isolating disease.

Sometimes a discussion goes to a place i don't want to see and I would like to stop following that single conversation. Is there any way to block just one conversation?

Thanks

I don’t follow any of the forums. Instead I just open each forum periodically and I can tell if new comments have been added to a specific discussion, because of the bold subject, and the number of new comments is shown. I can scroll down the forum page and see that I’ve reached the end of discussions with new comments because the forum is sorted in reverse order. I just don’t open discussions I’m no longer interested in. This is a not a high tech forum layout.

Under 'Quick Links', one of the tabs is 'followed discussions'. So I'm wondering if it could be in your settings… Are you 'following' certain discussions? I don't, but I think you can do that, so try 'unfollowing'.
