walker suggestion

Does anyone have a suggestion for a walker for a 6'2 person? Looking online there doesn't seem to be much. I think it would help with the very arthritic knees and bad alzheimer's balance!

Most walkers are adjustable to some degree.

I'm 5'2" and was given a standard foldable walker when I had my knee replaced. I have adjusted it for my 6'6" husband to use after a sprained knee and my 4'11" mom until her rollator arrived.

This one might suit your needs-

I have 2 walkers and they work just fine, however, the one Harshedbuzz recommended looks better than the two I have

The only thought I have is when I got a walker for my wife it was recommended to not get one with four wheels because she wouldn't be able to use the hand brakes on it if she needed to.

the VA gave my DH one but he couldn’t learn to use it. You might be able to find a used one at a medical supply store if you gave one near you. Insurance will pay for a walker and physical therapy will adjust it and teach the person to use it. Ask the primary care doctor.

Usually they are adjustable. I would talk to his doctor. The doc may have a physical therapist get him started with the walker and get it adjusted properly. That said, it can be hard to get a PWD to use a walker. My mom did take to it eventually though not all do.

My husband is tall as well. He uses one without a seat because he kept hitting it with his leg when walking. His doctor gave us a prescription for one, and we went over to a pharmacy that also sells medical equipment. They had him walk with a few and observed him carefully. They ended up ordering one that is taller and wider than most. It is adjustable as well.
