Night time sleeplessness and pain

I am noticing a pattern of my dad being in a lot of pain at night. Is this part of sundowners, or Parkinson's or Alzheimers? He has them all on top of a collapsed hip ball. The hip would be a logical explanation for pain, but it is a pattern no matter how much pain meds he is given. He stays up most of the night shifting and groaning in pain. He asks God to help him, and can not stay in bed. The pattern has continued after his hip replacement which is also painful. His complaints are not so much during the day though.

Hi GabbyBill - let his doctor know. Is there a recliner he might be more comfortable in?
Sorry you are dealing with 'this'.
