Hi, I'm new here. Mom is in midstage of Alz, living with my DH and me for 6 weeks now. Doing okay with everything so far but the questions (every minute or so for a good part of the day) are wearing on us. They don't vary much and writing down the answers for her doesn't seem to help for long. She usually finds something in the written answer to further question us about, and just having the written explanations seems to trigger her to begin the loop again, throughout the day, when she sees the papers.

I understand she's in a new environment and her life is completely different now-- so thanks for listening, as it helps to get this off my chest-- also wondering if this is common and also some suggestions to help.

Hi SusiAnn - welcome to 'here', but sorry for the reason. Yes, unfortunately, this is very common. And it sure can make you weary. No, writing it down won't help for long.

maybe you could get some respite from that in finding an adult day center for her for a day or three a week.

Thanks SusanB, we're slowly coming to the realization that we need to take healthy breaks from my dear mom, and thanks for listening.
