Mom is at peace now

My mom has ended her journey with dementia. She became ill last week at her memory care facility and ended up in the hospital for 5 days. They did as much as they could without going to extreme measures. Probably more than she would have wanted. They made her comfortable and she passed quickly and peacefully.

I didn't post alot on this forum, but the wisdom and support of others was so valuable and appreciated. Just reading what others are going through has been helpful and comforting.

My mom made it known while she still could, that she doesn't want extreme measures, either. I'm glad your mom was comfortable and peaceful.

Now - make sure you take care of you! Some days will be better than others, and it will get better.

So very sorry for the loss of your mom. It is amazing how much help it can be to find support here. It seems to help one feel less alone and lost trying to navigate the very sad world of dementia.
