Same meals

My DH who is 45 ye EOA. He is stage 6 transition to stage 7. He is starting to not like lots of foods he used to love. Is this normal? He will eat cereal, pb and j, chips, salad (sometimes) or meat sandwich It is also hit or miss if he will eat anything in a day. Or skme days he will graze all day on chips and trail mix. Or he will eat one big meal for the day. I do throe an occasional ensure in there but those are hit or miss as well. I feel like I am starving him. He used to eat evrty few hours.

This just sucks!!!!!! 😭😭

We are all in this together 💜

My wife is much the same, and will eat only a few things. Soon she will progress in dementia and eat whatever is put before her, but I don't look forward to that.

I have heard that Nestle's Boost is really good, but I haven't tried it yet. Some people even make popsicles of Boost.

You are right, this sucks canal water. Hang in there!

yes it’s very common. Their taste changes due to their brain. Many crave sweets. Some eat continually and mostly junk. Nothing wrong with cereal, PBJ, salads, and meat sandwiches. Try the shakes with ice cream. And give it to him before a meal. Sometimes they like finger foods better than using utensils. My DH liked a sliced apple with cheese. Apples and peanut butter are also good. Try applesauce with cinnamon.
