Terrified

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group. I've read your stories and am relieved to know I'm not alone in my feelings. So, here's my story… I was officially diagnosed last year at age 54. Hearing the words early onset Alzheimer's shook me to my core! My mom had dementia so I knew/know all too well what may come. Have you ever been so terrified that you literally start to go numb? It's been like an out of body experience. Weird! I've since started infusion treatments (leqembi) and have been doing very well with it. Had some mild side effects, headaches, tiredness etc. Thankfully nothing to scary. Had my first of three MRI's showing no major brain bleeds so at least there's that! Second MRI is next week. I'm doing everything possible to remain healthy, but it just doesn't feel like it's enough. I feel broken. My husband of 30 years and our 3 children have been amazing, but I REALLY would like to talk to others who are going through similar experiences.
