Medications?

My husband is starting to show signs of paranoia and hallucinations. He’s currently in a long term care facility. He’s in palliative care. I’d like to bring him home, but he has wandered in the past and sundowns. Does he need to see a neurologist for a diagnosis? How do I find out if he needs medication? I can talk with the physician at the LTC, but everyone seems to tiptoe around making a firm diagnosis and discussing meds. Thanks! First time here.

    Welcome to the group, Seniorcitizen5.

I would tell the LTC physician about the paranoia and hallucinations. He can prescribe medications that will help your husband be more at peace, with or without a firm diagnosis. Paranoia is miserable, and I hope they help him soon.
