Grateful for returns to normalcy

My DW is showing signs of more deterioration. Getting her interested in a movie used to help, but now she has to repeatedly ask who the characters are related to, who the “good” guys and “bad” guys are, etc. Then she took a nap and we had two hours of normalcy. I am still smiling.

Thanks for sharing. I keep telling myself that advanced progression does not mean care gets more difficult because I have to have something to hope for. My DW is in the 5/6 stage right now and recently it has gotten very difficult. She has become "hyber-verbal", She will speak nonsense, non stop, all day. I am good at tuning it out, but I have my limits. Add that to the constant shadowing and lately it has been exhausting to live with. At some point there will be a break and I will be filled with gratitude.

Could be worse Timmyd, my DH laughs all day nonstop. Not a cheerful laugh, a Marvel comic book super villain maniacal laugh. Annoying doesn’t begin to describe it. Been going on for a year. Meds have helped a little but there is no tuning it out.
