Artis Senior Living Boca Raton

Hi all - I am considering moving my mother to the memory care center at Artis Senior Living Boca Raton. We had a good visit there and spoke with family members of residents. Does anyone have first hand experience with this facility that could provide some thoughts?

I can't speak to the quality of their Boca Raton location, but the Artis near me gets good reviews although I suspect it's one of the more expensive and cherry-picking facilities. In my state, Medicaid does not cover AL/MC so they don't have the ability to keep a person who has outlived their assets.

I found the best source for local information was word-of-mouth. Most of the suggestions and warnings I got came from members of my IRL Alzheimer's support group. I'd check with yours if there is one.

What is an IRL support group?

We are very fortunate to have a long term care policy that provides lifetime benefits so between that and social security we should be okay for payment. we did speak with spouses of residents who were there that day and they were very forthcoming/informative and positive about the facility.

"In real life" as opposed to online.

If families are happy there, that's a good sign that you will likely be as well.
