Welcome to the Discussion! Even though we don't know your situation, we understand what you are going thru. Keep coming back!

This might help: On the upper right side of this page is a menu of QUICK LINKS. Click on "Groups" and then scroll down to find the group entitled "New Caregiver Help." There is a lot of information there that will help, including some links to staging tools.

You can also Google 7 stages of dementia and look for images of charts showing stages with behaviors listed in each stage. Behaviors may overlap stages or not show up until a later stage. Look for the stage with the most behaviors your LO is exhibiting. It helped me to keep a running list of behaviors. Do not let your LO see the list. I sent the list monthly to my husbands doctors at first and then more often as the disease progressed. Get your legal affairs in order now. Don’t wait. Learn all you can about the disease. Read the book “The 36 Hour Day” and search for Tam Cummings videos online. Come here often for info and support.
