New Dementia diagnosis

I was diagnosed with Dementia several months ago (I can’t remember exactly) and am having trouble dealing with the memory problems. I am on Memantine and Galantamine with good response…..well at least in the beginning. I feel like I am getting worse. I plan on taking to my doctor. I am wondering if I need to see a neuropsychologist? I asked my doctor if I had early onset Alzheimer’s…….she said “ a lot of my patients have dementia”. Really a non answer. I will ask her again.
I have trouble remembering what I am being told. I have trouble with my focus. It makes a person I am talking with upset.
I am hoping there is someone out there I can talk to about this.
Thank you

I felt like my meds were helping at first but now I am feeling more forgetful and losing my focus. I wonder what is next for me? I am scared.
