I think it depends on a lot of things, like how far along is he, and how are you financially. think I would plan to work part time with the idea that things can change. If you had plans on what you wanted to do in retirement, like travel or anything else I wouldn't put that off if he is able to go and enjoy it. When I retired to take care of my wife I lost a lot of my social connections. This disease can make you feel very isolated, and it is very expensive.

Welcome, sorry about the decisions you will need to make . I am glad you are planning to travel soon. It’s hard to determine what might be for your 3 month trip, so the shorter ones will give you some time together. We made our last travel trip together over a year ago and I am glad I have those memories.

Is he staying by himself now? That may change quickly and you would need to plan for that. You will either need to quit and care for him or hire someone which is very expensive. Can you work from home? Travel while you can.

I retired a few years earlier then we had planned due to DH disease. I don't regret it. It gave us a little bit more time to travel and do some fun things together. I have those memories. This disease can travel fast or slow. No one can really predict. I would recommend getting all your financial and legal paperwork in order. A certified elder law attorney was extremely helpful to me. I am so sorry you are on this journey. This is a great place for advice or just to vent. We all get it! Hugs to you.
