Time for Depends?

I am caring for my 94 year old mom who has dementia bordering on stage 4/5. Lately she has had accidents at home and out and of course does not remember them. I have tried to get her to wear Depends when we go out but she refuses. My dad, 95 years old, wears them when we go out as his cancer medicine can sometimes cause him to have accidents. We have tried to say well dad is wearing them and you need to also but nothing is working. Right now we hav e stopped going out to eat which of course makes her angry. Suggestions on how to get her to wear them when we go out to church or dinner would be greatly appreciated.

When it was time for MIL, we simply switched her regular ones for the 'adult undies'. She adjusted fairly quickly. We took her regulars out of the drawer and put the Depends in. We didn't give her the choice any longer (yes, we also tried), we just did it.

Same as SusanB. I removed her regular undies from her dresser drawers and replaced with pull-ups. She might be annoyed but she will adjust.
