Thanks, MInt and Iris, but there is still st least one left in the nest. I can see movement. Kept watching for mom to come and feed so got everyone inside and c!osed the door leaving space for me to watch. Mom Would f!y around and land on the nearby feeder, then the porch swing and finally flew to the nest. I know of no way to prevent the babies falling out of nest. The place where the nest is, on the porch light is at least 7-8 ft.bigh. I can't reach it.
My toaster quit working yesterday. The bread wouldn't stay down so made toast in a skillet. Karen had two boys and they would go camping and she said she made toast in a skillet. Never heard of that before but it works!
Underneath one of the crispers in the refrigerator keeps getting water in it so yesterday I sponged it out and a while ago noticed water on the floor and it was full again.
Turned on the AC in the utility this morning and when I went out there a while ago it was off. Turned it on again and lowered the temp. It may be on economy, will check. And, there's the PU. Enough of my trials and tribulations. When it rains, it pours.
MInt, hope all your seeds come up and grow for you.Never got my flower seeds planted but there are more caladiums coming up. I wanted to level the ground where the holly was across the front of the house and plant flowers there. Will have to put down wire because the GPs like to dig and lay there. Diverticulitis flare put a stop to that ,- still getting my strength back so maybe later.
Doing a !oad of laundry so better check on that and the hummingbird food that's cooling.

Very busy morning…call to my sister…updates on our conversation (one per subject). She does not have a carbon-monoxide monitor so ordered one for her on Amazon. S
Seems she does not really use her security system which is @25 years old. He children do not have a code to come into her home but that is because granddaughter drops off her 2 geekos to be cared for every once in a great while….Yikes. I am careful about subjects so all is going well. Oh, her Dr has one star and graduated from almost night school medical school. Doubt that will change.
Storms= no moon here last night.
Black Velvet…I too looked it up. It has stout in it. Boy do I have a funny story about stout for another day.
Iris…I hope David is OK.
That's it from Lake Woebegon!

I'm sorting things out.
I picked up the death certificates from the funeral home. Tomorrow I'll start closing her bank account, filing for life insurance, etc.
MC called to be sure I don't want Kathy's clothing and hearing aids before they donate them or toss them. I'm going to donate all that sort of thing, so I'm not going to drive out there to get them. My subdivision has a yard sale every year, but I have no intention of haggling over the price of her clothing.
On the bright side, it is a lovely June day with high, fluffy clouds and a temperature in the high 70's. Two hours until sunset, time for a walk. TTYL

Carl - You give me way too much credit (about the Black Velvet). When it comes to alcohol, I'm like Jon Snow on the Game of Thrones - I know nothing.
And about Kathy's clothing - I did the same thing with Peggy's clothes. It seems like there's never enough to go around in memory care, so I gave them almost everything.
Lorita - I'm so sorry about the baby barn swallows. 🙁
I've made toast in a skillet — it works pretty well.
I got a fair amount done today, which is always good. I started my day with the gym. My regular trainer is back and he gave me most of my favorites today - the earthquake bar and boxing. So happy.
Later on this week I'm going to be seeing my former law partner (she's ten years older than me so she decided to retire). It'll be great to see her. She just got back from the Galápagos Islands, and I can't wait to hear all about it. Hopefully we can talk about Darwin's finches (ha, won't happen). I know she misses the privacy world, so I fully expect to spend most of our time talking shop (privacy law).

Carl, nice you're getting some things done. I had no idea what all I had to do after I lost Charles - all the VA stuff, deed, on and on. His name is still on some accounts and that's okay with me.
I went out just now to move the geranium over in the planted and to dig up and transplant some wild violets in the p!anter with the geranium but it is completely gone, roots and all. I think it was there this morning but not sure. Guess Rusty or something really liked it.
My.back yard is like a jungle.StillHave one crepe myrtle and a white Althea in bloom. The violets have spread and have huge leaves. I had Bryon mow them last year and they came back again. They bloom in the spring but just greenery now.I was almost afraid to walk among them because of snakes and poison ivy. I made it but it tired me.
Something has been going on with my.posting I write some and it kicks me out so have to get back to my post. Still there but something is quirky.
About time for bed so will say good night. Sleep tight.

Morning, if Beth still can't post on 206, I think I might end 206 and begin 207 and see if she can post on it. What do all of you think?

Good morning
Lorita i’m not sure if that would help or not. Maybe somebody else will know.I thought I would be able to see the strawberry moon this morning, but I couldn’t. It appears clear out and I looked up where the moon should be, which is where I looked so I’m not sure why I see it. Maybe I can see it tomorrow morning.
they are giving several sunny days so I hope I’ll be able to weed. really got out of control because of just so much rain and not being able to get it done. Maybe my nephew will be able to help me a little we’ll see.

I think something has happened to the last little barn swallow. I can't see any movement and the mom isn't flying around. It isn't laying on the porch so no idea. A wasp is making a nest nearby so sprayed that. Maybe it stung the little bird. I might get the stepstool and try to see in The nrst. The way things are going I may break my neck.
I picked up the tv. Remote in the bedroom, touched one of the buttons and now it won't come on so will have to call Directv. Nothing is going right this morning. Should have stood in bed, as they say.

Lorita, did you try taking the batteries out and putting them back in?

I did, Sweetwater. Probably have it totally messed up. Can't deal with anymore that today. I did see closed captioning' and maybe got thst turned off. So funny when our weatherman is talking about severe weather to see how off with the towns closed captioning does.
I held a mirror up to the nest and and didn't see the little bird. Can't understand what happened. Left the sweet potato vine on the porch failing and something ate leaves off the part away from the porch, almost five feet off the ground. Guess I'll have to stay up all night and see what's going on here at night.

Lorita….do not get on a step stool or if you insist wear your alarm!

I'm going to start 207 to see if Beth can post. Might work and will do no harm. Don't post on this 206, go to 207.
