Adjustable bed suggestions (attached control)

Options
Hi, I'm trying to find an adjustable bed for my mom, who lives with Alzheimer's. They all seem to have remote controls, and she really needs something that has only a few buttons and is hardwired (attached) to the bed. Otherwise, the remote will quickly go missing. Has anyone found a bed that's working well for them?

I've never seen an adjustable bed with the controls built into the bed itself.

If mom needs an adjustable bed, could her doctor order her a hospital bed? Medicare will pay for purchase or rental of an adjustable hospital bed when ordered for certain conditions. Most DME companies will allow you to upgrade to an electric model with controls on the rails for an additional fee.

Alternately, if she very late stage, hospice can provide a hospital bed as well. You can often find used hospital beds via donation or on Craigslist FB Marketplace.

You can rent a hospital bed with remote attached to the bed, through your insurance company's durable medical equipment company. If that is not what you want, you could purchase an adjustable twin/full/queen/king-sized adjustable bed which typically has a remote. I found a way to clasp my remote to my sheet and have not lost it in the 7 years I've had it. How that he

Equipment supply houses will push purchases to avoid the rental billing- with MC you usually need to rent, if covered, for a while before a purchase is ok'd. [Check the suppliers status with Medicare too- we've had them say "yes we take MC" but found some lost their access, some are not participating etc.]

You'll want participating and accepts assignment.

Getting rid of a hospital bed was a nightmare too - slowed a home sale until we could get it removed- not the kind of staging that sells- so renting would have been cheaper and easier.
