Your feelings are ones that most of us have felt and I wish I had a good word of engouement for you but this disease sucks. All I can say for now is get your legal papers in order and the there are conversations about those on this site and enjoy all the moments you can with your husband. Do the things you aways wanted to do as long as he can and come often the people on this site has helped more then any other thing in dealing with this. Some people here will say things you don't like or agree with but they all understand what is going on.

It’s true, we have all been in your shoes in those hours, days and weeks after diagnosis. Panic, confusion, despair and any other emotion you can imagine. Take a deep breath and make a list of things that need to done (POAs) and things you want to do (visit with friends, family, travel, etc) and enjoy what you can when you can. You will learn not to argue, but to agree or find work arounds. Patience is something you will have to learn if it doesn’t come naturally. Find time for you, that’s extremely important and difficult to do as this disease progresses. There are so many good people on this site and it’s an incredibly supportive network and a great place to ask questions and to vent.

Go to Nelf.org to find an elder law attorney near you. Also read the book The 36 Hour Day. This site by far has the most information. Please come back often. You are not alone.
