    Yikes, no comments?

Thank you Chammer for posting this link. It is a very difficult discussion. Peter Attia, BJ Miller, and Bridget Sumser do a wonderful job of explaining what palliative and hospice care is. More than that, they get real about what we as patients, caregivers, and loved ones face on this journey and how we might make the journey and it's inevitable ending something we can survive and, maybe, enhance our lives.

Well worth the time in my humble opinion.

Thank you for sharing this link. We have Palliative care coming on July 3rd and I had so many questions...some of which were answered watching this podcast, but wrote down others for when they actually come.

Thank you so much for posting this! I just listened to the whole thing—partly while I was cleaning my house, partly while I was taking a walk. My upbringing and early experiences give me comparative comfort in discussing the subject of death and in spending time with the dying and the bereaved, but I have recently been searching for exactly the kind of information provided here: the distinctions between palliative care and hospice, the physiological changes in the active dying process, the differences between pain and suffering, and the vast differences in individual experiences. I appreciated the compassion of the presenters. I wish I knew Bridget personally! It gave me much comfort as I think about how to help my father and also myself with the inevitable transitions.
