Meet N Greet

We are Scotty and Rachel.
Married for 41 years.
Rachel has been diagnosed with Mild Dimentia. We are new to this community and look forward to interacting , supporting and sharing. Our journey started about 3 years ago. With trial and error we have been coping on our own. Now that we have a community, we know we are going to have company on this journey. We are people of faith. God the Father , Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit guide us daily. We pray for all in our new commune of Memory Mates. Blessings to all and have a great weekend.

Welcome to the forum no one wants to be in! This forum saved me. I've been here almost 4 years and have learned so much. Dare I say, kindred spirits in the same lot. We may be on different boats but are weathering the same storm.

Hi Scotty and Rachel, my husband was diagnosed about 5 years ago. He’s stage 6 now, I have caregivers coming to the house part time. He is happy most of the time and we still enjoy life. I too lean on the Lord and He has given me peace in this journey. I will be praying for the two of you!

welcome to the place for info and support. I don’t know what I would have done without this group. I felt so alone. 💜🙏

Welcome! I am relatively new here but have gleaned a ton of information AND support. I am here as the only child of my octogenarian mother who is my pwd. I am a registered nurse and NOTHING I learned or applied to patients seem to work when the patient is your own parent/spouse.

Welcome, Scott and Rachel.
You have found a wonderful place to be. There is so much knowledge and wonderful care giving ideas shared here.
I came on this website 7 years ago, after I had to place my DH in MC. It was hard for me, but I got a lot of encouraging advice. My DH passed away 6 years ago, I still love this, website. The, people here are so caring.
We look forward to sharing with you. Hugs Zetta

Hi, Scotty and Rachel. I am fairly new here too, but five years into caring for my father WD. This is a caring place where people speak their own truths with compassion for others.
