Dream last night….

I haven’t dreamt since 2023 when I was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and had no choice but to place my husband Lonny in Memory Care so I could get treatment. He passed last August 12. Last night I dreamt that I was on a trip and was desperately trying to get back to him. I couldn’t find my luggage or find my way back to him and the dream was disturbing. I don’t have anyone I can talk to about it so I thought I would come here. 💜

Diane, hi. i’m new here and know the feeling of widowhood dreams. Once i was told well when you have a disturbing dream try to visualize your hands. You’re chasing memories of him. i hope that you are utilizing AI to tell the stories of your life into to leave behind his portion of it. How did you both meet? what was y’all’s song? tell little stories that gave you a thrill or laugh. When Granny Smith was first married her and Grampa got into a disagreement, so she ctawled under the bed when she realized he was right and she was wrong. It tickled her that he Crawled under there and stayed quietly whispering “I love you” i can’t wait to read your other posts that people speak about.

I am slowly writing my memories after his diagnosis but haven’t started on when we met and the 35 years before the diagnosis. I will though. Thank you.

I lost my DH last month and have had one dream like that so far. I woke myself up from the distress of it. You’re coming up on a year now, and that’s a big deal. I’m so sorry you had that dream, I absolutely understand the fright and anguish that can be generated from something like that. We are always here for you…I’m glad you posted to try and ‘talk’ this out. Sending hugs!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dreams like that can be incredibly unsettling, especially when grief is still so fresh. It’s brave of you to share and talk it out here. Please know you’re not alone, we’re all here to support you through this. Sending you strength and gentle hugs.

Classic anxiety dream. I have dreams about traveling and about apps on my phone not working. In the dreams I can not find my ticket or my hotel. I use my phone to pay for most everything and of course in the dreams that app doesn't work or I can't find it. Those dreams are the worst and I can never tell what triggers them.
