Just needed to release some sadness

My DH exhibits such extreme changes in stages from day to day. Emotional and mood changes seem to be prominent at times- crying in a restaurant over a change in plans. There is much child like behavior. I have learned how to manage this, however my heart is aching. I can’t seem to not let it shock me each time he enters into a state of the disease so to speak. I feel as though I will never adjust to this.
I seem to cry at any given moment since the diagnosis… have had a few other life events take place that may contribute as well.
I miss the man I married- I feel alone-sad -as I have read everyone here seems to feel.

we know how you feel. It’s heartbreaking to watch our LO struggle. I would talk to his doctor about medication if he is depressed and crying. You are not alone. Come here often for support.

My DW has difficulty dealing with the least bit of complexity. For example, the steps involved in calling someone ( selecting the phone icon, choosing the contacts list, scrolling, etc) confuses her, and that brings in anxiety. Things go downhill from there. Her doctor recommended Zoloft, and it reduced her anxiety after a couple weeks.

Fully agree with use of antidepressant. Helps stabilize moods and decrease anxiety. Not perfect but definitely helps!
