Passed away

Just letting you all know that my mother, with Alzheimer's, passed away 5/7/25
And dad with vascular dementia, just passed away 8/4/25
Now dealing with family members fighting over the will.
Lots of financial and legal responsibilities for the executors and beneficiaries.

My condolences in the loss of your Father and Mother. And I'm also sorry you are having to deal with the aftermath of family squabbles over assets. Sending you hugs and wishes for peace.

I am so sorry for your double loss. It's awful when family become more concerned with "stuff" rather than coming together to support each other. It's a triple whammy. Sending you peaceful thoughts and compassion.

I am so sorry for your double loss. I lost my husband and mother 6-1/2 weeks apart earlier this year. It seems to multiply the grief exponentially to lose two loved ones so close together. I also can empathize with your problem of the family fighting over the will. My husband's daughters gave me an extremely difficult time until our respective attorneys managed to convince them that there was not enough there to be financially worth the legal battle. I'm praying for you.

I doubt that your dad’s Will can be handled until your mom’s is done. If I remember correctly, your nephew is the executor and sole beneficiary of her estate. So the family members will contest that first. The thing is, even if they win, the estate then probably goes to your dad. And that’s if there is anything left after paying for the funeral, medical expenses, lawyers. Then rinse and repeat with your dad’s. If you aren’t an executor, just sit back and stay out of the line of fire. Assume you aren’t getting a dime.

So sorry to hear that you lost both parents so close together. And that there is strife in the family over the estates. What a struggle for you.
