My mom is in early stages of dementia. She wakes up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and then wants to take her morning pills. Bathroom is a trigger to wake up and start her day no matter the time. Any suggestions?

Welcome. Is she living on her own? Some here have talked about pill dispensers that are automated. It seems like someone even shared links to the one they use. If you search for pill dispensers in these threads you should get a lot of ideas. The discussions will be old, but I’m sure the information is still good.

Yes, you can buy automated pill dispensers where you can set the time the pills ought to be dispensed.

Pill dispensers and organizers work but as the disease progressed, I had to watch my DH take his pills. I would hand him his pills and then hand him a bottle of water that he would hold in his other hand. It depends on the stage the PWD is in.

PS: I got a large display clock which helped for awhile as long as he knew the difference between AM and PM.
