Moving Day is tomorrow.

I have been with my loved one since July of 2019. Luis was diagnosed in August of 2023 with early onset alzheimerz stage 4/5 at the age of 44. This has been a long journey. I longed for the days to have a normal life. I knew the day would come when he would have to go into a facility of some sort. Well tomorrow is the day. I will be moving my baby into a memory care home that is about 35 minutes away. My heart is broken in two. One half is hurting because the selfish side of me wants to keep him home. But I know that physically I cannot do it any longer. The other part of my heart is hurting because I will get to move forward and have a life again. I wish it was Luis who was going to be by my side but God has different plans. I know that I have done my best and more than anyone in my situation would have done. I know that this next week is going to be the hardest but I will come out stronger than ever. I have to keep remembering the line he would always say when he was well, "you just have to keep moving forward." My Beh-Beh Luis i will keep moving forward and I will go see the world and know that someday when you are watching over me you will be with me. I love you.

We are all in this together 💜

    Hugs!🫂

I know it must be so hard. All you can do is take the next step, and then the next. After awhile you will find that you have covered a great distance and have emerged a better person. Cry if you must. Tears are cathartic.😒

Hugs to you. It’s been quite the journey for you. It may take time, but you will be able to move forward with your life knowing Luis is being taken care of. You are a special person.

I’ve been where you are. I know how you feel. The greatest love you can show him is to place him where he can be safe and well cared for. He would want you to live life. By doing so, you honor him. Hugs. 💜
