PBM Redlight VieLight Therapy

Has anyone explored or even tried therapy with photo bio modulation also referred to as red-light therapy? There is a device that has some clinical trials (very small population). It is called Vielight and has a very extensive website with reports on testing of the device. I have been trying to evaluate if it is worth a try. My wife is 80 years old, MMSE 10 and great physical health. Willing to spend money on a last ditch effort to slow or reverse the disease course. Anyone have any experience or information about this?

I use red light, I have a panel from platinum biomax. I feel that I'm getting great comfort for my aches and pains, it helps with my skin and hair, healing is greatly expedited. It cured my plantar fasciitis. I use it on my head and neck daily, but I don't have a dementia diagnosis (I'm a care giver) so I cannot say what it's effects would be on someone with this diagnosis. There's a lot of info suggesting it can help, I wouldn't be surprised if that's true.

The main thing with rlt is to buy a high quality device that's FDA approved. Cheap devices aren't strong enough to really penetrate deeply. I sit under my panel with a fan blowing to keep the light from burning my hair, and I can definitely feel it working. Three companies that I know make great lights are hooga, mitro, and platinum.
