online support group connection
hello in there,
We are the lonely all together
All together we're all alone. jp
so i just finished reading traverlers to unimginable lands by dasha kipper. Very interesting and relatable information. one thing stuck me was she says the only way i am going to be able to get through is to find a group. I have not been able to connect. ( I know where some are but getting there is a time/coverage problem). I am pretty much alone. I understand that this has to be moved up the list and i need assistance.
Maybe something on the net?
thanks for all you do
joe

I'm sorry, it is very lonely, trying to decipher/acknowledge symptoms, then find the right resources.
I have 3 adult children, so in that way I'm lucky, but at the same time, outsiders (of your home) are often nonbelievers and skeptical of your observations.
I'm constantly diving through information on the internet and always cognizant to not allow myself to go down rabbit holes that are off-topic or getting too dark.
It is a slippery slope, just continue to reach out to friends and acquaintances to keep your own life in some sort of normalcy.

I was diagnosed w A a couple of years ago, I think. I am @73 …,I’m on meds; my husband, who is 11 years older, is wonderful and fortunately all there. I have excelon patches which have been great. Just lonely and scared. My kids and grandkids are great, but I have been told by Dr to exercise mor, interact more, and take a class.
cannot seem to do this. I need a group. Perhaps joining here will help.0 -

I'm so sorry that you're lonely. I'm not saying anything bad about Alzheimer's Assn . they are wonderful in a million ways., but I really like the group setup at Mayo Clinic Connect, I feel like I can maneuver through it a little easier. I like the discussion topics, it's a little easier to reconnect with the same individuals over and over. And you get a list in your email every day advising you of new comments in your favorite discussion groups. You should check it out.
