Just a curious observation
DH has severe aphasia to where most of the time I have no idea what he’s trying to say - he can’t come up with the right words. But lately he’s been talking with numbers a lot. Like “where is the 30-50” or “that will be 30 thousand” or counting the number of traffic lights when we’re stopped at a red light. Just a curiosity on my part - I’m always wondering what’s going on in his brain. So many unexplained things.

My wife is well into the severe stage and she does the same thing. Lots of jabbering of numbers. 4, 4, 2, 2, 10, etc. are some of her favorites - lol. I've looked it up and it's not uncommon. It's some of the very few words she can actually get out. We have a couple of 4's and a 2 in our address so I'm not sure if that is related. Anyway, all part of the process.

persevere my wife also went through the 4,4,2,2, 9,9 never hit the 10. She went through those numbers all the way into stage 6. I never could figure out how she came up with those #'s. none in our address or phone #. She was a science teacher maybe some correlation with that. I just found it funny she would throw a odd # in with the even #'s.

@annie51
There was a poster here years ago whose wife used to use the phrase "3 to 11s" as a random noun. She'd been a second shift nurse much of her career.
