DW not urinating enough

Lately, my DW is down to one urination in the morning and that's it. I don't believe her fluid intake is any less than usual. I have always known her to have a pretty strong bladder (i.e. not needing to go very often) but this has me worried. I have antibiotics that I give her from time to time but I really don't think it's a UTI. I'm worried that the disease is causing the brain not to signal when it's time or the muscles to relax. Anyone else with this experience? I am reading there are medications that can help. I really don't want to see this go the catheter route. I don't know what would be involved in that. Going to check with my Dr. on monday unless she doesn't go this weekend - then it's to the emergency room or urgent care.

you are right to worry. What stage is she in? Is she under hospice care? Is she sleeping a lot? Does she have swelling in her feet? I think I would still check her for UTI just to be sure. You are right that It can also be her brain not sending signals to her bladder. Found this online:

    • Normal circumstances: For a healthy person, holding your urine for up to 8 to 9 hours is considered safe, as this is about the time it takes for a bladder to fill. However, holding it longer can increase the risk of complications like urinary tract infections.
