Hi there. My 1st thought is to very quietly get out of the house for a few hours…go to McD's or anywhere you feel safe. Before leaving make sure you have a key, a way back in. I'm still learning myself but there is a lot of wisdom and experience in this group. Sending prayers.

You need to to let his dr know of his increase of aggression

Hopefully he will put him on something

Keep your car house keys and phone with all the time

If he gets physical call police have him taken to er for evaluation

Have you seen an elder law attorney? You will definitely need to get paperwork in order: DPOA, healthcare POA and any wills that are needed. You also need advice about Medicaid. Even families planning to keep their loved one home the entire time sometimes find themselves needing placement, so start now to look into options. At the same time, do contact his doc for medication options. Because behaviors are caused by a medical problem it is very appropriate to address them with medication.

Is he under a doctor's care? Report these behaviors and hopefully getting the right medication will address these.
