On the Texas ballot this November is Texas Proposition 14 which establishes the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas using $3 billion from general funds. The amendment would task the institute with researching causes, means of prevention, and treatments for dementia and dementia related diseases such as Alzheimers disease and Parkinsons disease.
