COVID Vaccine Side Effects

Is anyone else’s LO’s dementia adversely affected by the COVID vaccine? My DH becomes even foggier than usual, falls a lot & becomes more hostile for about 2 days, then returns to baseline. Trying to avoid hospitalization this time.🤞

Does he run a fever? I occasionally run a high fever with the flu vaccine, and always with the COVID vaccine until this year when I switched brands. Even with the low grade fever with the new one I got dehydrated, which made me feel a little off. When you are frail, or have something physical going on, you can react more to vaccines. You just do not have a lot of bounce back.

we had the flu vaccine at the same time as the Covid vaccine and there was no difference in my husband. With that said, some people may have a reaction, whereas others don’t.

I had some adverse side effects due to my first booster shot. And then I got COVID-19 for the first time three months after having that booster. I haven't had any further covid shots. I've had the illness twice (that I know of) and it isn't very serious in me. It just acts like a cold.

We had our Flu and Covid vaccines together and had no problems. My DH didn't show a difference. Has he reacted to past Covid vaccines? Maybe the vaccine made him feel bad and he didn't know how to express his feelings. I'm glad he returned to baseline.

Remember that correlation is not causation. The new symptoms may or may not be related to the shots. Only scientific research can determine that.

I am so glad you posted this! My DH had his Covid vaccine last week. For the two days after the injection he basically slept all the time, didn't seem to recognize any of us, and when he was awake just sat there staring off into space. I was sure that he had taken another turn for the worse. But, after two days he did return to his baseline, which is still very low, but he did improve a little. I know when I have my vaccine, I am a little tired and just "off" for at least a day. I think there probably is a link. Thank you for posting!

my husband was affected after the vaccine… more spaced out… and fell also… lasted about four days… then back to the same as before
