Guilt lingers where love was poured without measure...

I struggle constantly with what I guess would be called guilt. It is those constant thoughts of what I feel I should have done differently, better or never done at all. I know that I did the best I knew how at that moment. I know that I am just a simple human and have emotions and get frustrated and angry at times but that does not release the guilt. Surviving this loss is one time I desperately wish "hindsight is 20/20" was more like "Hindsight is blind". Maybe time will begin to lessen my regrets for what I did or did not do for my dear wife, passing only a couple months ago at this time. My cousin told me I grieve big because I loved big. I hope that is true and she knew that also.

Your cousin is right. We all did the best we could. Worrying about the past leads to depression and worrying about the future leads to anxiety. Better to live in the moment. Easy to say, hard to practice! I am in the same boat.

and grief is the price we pay for love.
