The Story of Ralph Carmona

The Alzheimer's Association (the sponsor of this forum) posted on their facebook page some "feel good" stories of people with AD in December. I'm finally getting around to sharing one of those posts with this group, the story of Ralph Carmona.

Their version leaves out some interesting details. Ralph has a PhD in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara. He visited 5 medical tents while running the 2025 Boston Marathon, having issues with cramps in his legs. Ralph had a negative split time, meaning he ran the 2nd half of the marathon faster than the 1st half (that is very unusual). He told reporters after the race that he plans to run the marathon again in 2026. All of this 10 years (yes, a decade) after starting on Leqembi (Ralph was in an early clinical trial with Leqembi). And finally, Ralph is 75. I'm not suggesting that everybody on Leqembi (or Kisunla) will run marathons a decade after starting, but still, you gotta admit this is pretty darn impressive.
