just saw an ad on line for Dryment incontinence pants. Anyone know about these, are they all they say they are ? Thanks for your input!

I haven't used them, but I did notice that scam-detector.com gives them a low score as a potentially problematic business. https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/dryment-com-review/ All the other links I saw were ads, no reviews. If it were me, I'd skip them.

I’m sorry for being irreverent, but I keep scrolling past this post and humorously imagining the title as some sort of invective. Sort like “bossy pants”, like “You, yeah I’m talking about you Mr/Ms Incontinence Pants.”

Sorry for that, I find I need to see the lighter side of things a bit these days. I don’t mean to minimize the importance of the original question.

On a more serious note, I did look these pants up and they seem like a product that would benefit someone who has occasional mild incontinence or leaking from adult incontinence underwear or diapers rather than as a full on incontinence system. Might be beneficial for those folks who have nighttime issues to save on sheets and bed changes overnight as long as your person accepts changing clothes easily. Full disclosure... I have no personal experience w them or the company.

My LO has reached a point that I need to buy incontinence briefs for him. Intuitively, I think he would find the pull-ups easier to navigate alone but think the tab type would be better for me when he has to be changed. He is still quite mobile and wears Levi’s as part of his daily “uniform”.

Could I get some recommendations for type and brand and why you like them? This would Be very helpful.

Also, how did you learn how to change a bowel movement accident without retching? How did you learn to correctly and efficiently change one? Especially if you’re not at home when the accident occurs? Thank you!

The better incontinence products are sold online. Two excellent sources are Northshore and Parentgiving. They have great customer service and may be able to answer questions. I know Northshore will sell you a sampler pack to trial in order to get a sense of what will work for your situation.

Tab-style can be better for some body types, especially very thin/heavier than average. But briefs are generally more easily accepted. FWIW, most briefs can be torn away at the sides when dealing with a mess.

Getting past the ick factor? Gloves help. A mask with the use of Stink Balm can help get past odors as you become a made member of the Blue Glove Club.

For logistics of changing a diaper/brief? The are a gazillion videos on You Tube on this very subject.

Also, by the time a PWD is incontinent of bowel, they are beyond being home alone. The home health aide watching them would step in.
