Toileting

I am now having to assist my DH in all aspects of using the toilet. I know it is only a matter of time before he will need pads or Depends. My question is whether anyone has considered trimming or shaving around the genitals and anus? I feel as though it would make things easier in the cleanup process. I'm pretty sure my DH would not question it as he is oblivious to my having to wipe him after a BM or assist him when urinating.

I hadn't thought of shaving him, but it will be interesting to see how things develop. I imagine my DH would be distressed at me trying to initiate a new activity that would seem foreign to him. Plus, as hair grows back, the stubble would be itchy maybe?

I would suggest if you don't have a bidet, get one asap. The water spray cleans off the underparts pretty well.

I'm anxious to see other responses. Good luck!

Thanks M5M! Yes I worry about the itch with shaving. I am tempted to just do a little trimming though. Like i said, he doesn't seem to be aware of too much that's going on. I often get into the shower with him, it's easier, and possibly that would be the place to get the job done. The bidet is my next purchase!!
