I posted earlier about looking for a MC facility for my Dad. I forgot to ask, how do you tell them they are moving into a MC facility?

You dont. Tell him he is going to go to physical therapy ‘til he is better’ on doctor’s orders. And he does not nave to know in advance. Find a facility that you think is appropriate and work with the staff to go from there.

I agree with terei. I would not include him in the packing either. We told my mom a week in advance (at my brothers insistence) and it was a mess. If you use the search you will probably find many similar threads. They may be older, but they will have a lot of good information and advice.

Do not try and get your parent to buy in and approve of the plan. They have lost that ability.
