Heartbroken but comforted DH No Longer Suffering
It’s been a rough road for a while. My DH ended up in hospital before being transferred to palliative. He died peacefully 7 days later. We will miss him being physically here; however, we are at peace knowing he is no longer suffering. I thank this group for being so authentic and raw in questions and answers. I’ve gone through a gamit of emotions from start to finish: annoyed, angry, sad , depressed, tired, wondering how long this can go on for to cherishing and loving and advocating. And reflecting. Thank you all for your guidance and advice. I pray for you and your loved ones.
I’m not sure how I feel about stage 8. I will miss the man I married so much but I won’t miss watching him decline. Love to you all.

I can't imagine the mix of emotions feel. Your DH is no longer at the mercy of this dreaded disease. May the knowledge he is in a better place comfort you and may time give you the perspective to focus on all the good memories. 🙏 for you and your family.

I’m so sorry. Regarding not knowing how you feel… that’s going to be true for some time. Just know that whatever you feel at any given moment is ok. It’s ok to be active .. or not. To bing watch mindless tv or to clean and organize. To read all day or to visit with friends and do something fun.
