Driving my ADLO safely

when in the car on a busy local highway, suddenly he tried to move the gear shift while also attempting to open his door.
I pulled into a parking lot as quickly as I could to stop, do what could, so we could return home. My son simply let me know about child locks that easily locked the back door of the car. It is now our routine that my DH sits in the back seat of the car. I click his seatbelt. Once we arrive at our destination, I get out of the car and circle the car to open his door from the outside.
I also have the ability to lock the back windows when sitting in the driver’s seat.

A Google search on child locks on car doors will provide videos on how to set the door lock .

    Welcome, @Salliek

Good info. Thank you for sharing. Only happened to me with DH once. Thank goodness he hasn’t tried again.

My DH also tried to get out of the moving car! Yikes! I placed him in the back seat furthest from driver's side. He had a bad habit of trying to pull my hair from the back as well as hitting my seat while driving.
