Hallucinations

New to the forum. Excited to have a resource like this. My wife has early onset Alzheimer's. Her life is so disrupted by another person that she believes lives with us. She believes that this person steals and eats her food, steals and drinks her drinks, sleeps in the bed with us, wears her clothes, and on and on. She carries on both sides of the conversation. We have tried a number of meds prescribed by the doctor, but none have helped with the hallucinations or the anxiety that this other person causes. She argues with this other person during all of her waking hours. You can have a pleasant conversation with her and she will be in the moment, but within a few seconds of stopping the conversation, she goes back to arguing with this other person. My questions is whether or not anyone has seen any relief from these types of hallucinations with CBD oil or medical marijuana?

My DW of 67 years is similar but doesn't talk with them, she only speaks about them. She was prescribed 0.25mg of Xanax for her anxiety. It has helped but it has a sedation effect. I'll have to try the gummy thing.

I don’t know what state you live in @Bryan77 , but where I am state taxes can exceed the cost of the product. For that reason I got my DH a medical cannabis card - it eliminates paying the taxes. Gummies work well for him if he swallows them. Lately he’s been spitting them out. I give him a gummy at night with CBN in it which promotes sleep and relaxation.
Good luck, you’re doing hard things now.
