Keppra anecdotal study

I just saw an article stating that researchers have noticed anecdotal ‘evidence’ that Keppra may prevent dementia or slowdown decline in those already have it. Keppra is an anti seizure drug. I know some members here have loved ones taking Keppra for dementia related seizures. Have you noticed that the dementia progression has slowed?
I wonder if it is similar to the memory meds that only help a few and it’s hard to tell if they help at all because every patient’s progression is different.

My mother developed seizures as a result of Alz. The Keppra controlled the seizures but didn't seem to do anything for decline of the dementia. However she didn't start the drug until late in the journey, and the study says one would have to take it early in life to be effective in regards to dementia. She was well nto stage 6 when she started taking it and then lived under 2 years past that. Those two years were filled with UTIs and falls so it's pretty hard to parse out what's causing decline. But I do hope this offers yet another clue to researchers to fit into the puzzle that will eventually come up with effective treatment.
