Using Lequembi infusions

Hi- just wanted to connect with anyone who is using Lequembi. DH has had three bi monthly infusioNs to date and one MRI, which showed no abnormal brain bleeds. Seems to be tolerating it well. Our understanding is that it can’t replace current memory loss, but it can dissolve existing plaque and help prevent more from forming.

you can search all posts on this forum. The search thingy is at the top of the page. Search for Lequembi and you should find posts.

DH just finished his 46th biweekly infusion of Leqembi and will now be transitioning to monthly infusions. He just had a PET scan that showed all of the plaque in his brain has been dissolved. He always tolerated the infusions well and never had any brain bleeds or other side effects. While there was still some cognitive decline while he was undergoing the infusions, there is no way to know if the decline would have been greater without them. Time will tell what the future holds. You are correct in saying that they cannot regain what has already been lost. Good luck to your DH!

Thank you both for replying. Mary MN, I hope your DH ‘s scans continue to show no more plaque buildup!
