My DH starts Leqembi next week. I know the process takes at least 5 hours. My question is this: Can he bring drinks, snacks while he is having the treatment. He should bring something to read I would think. Is someone allowed to stay with him and or come and go during the treatment. Just curious so we can plan the day.

well, my DH has his 4th infusion tomorrow. The process for him takes 90 min. This includes some benadryl and tylenol (30 min. wait to make sure no reaction) and then 1 hour of the infusion. You have to keep one of your arms, totally immobile, but you could bring an iPad if you could manage it with one hand or a cell phone I would imagine.

also, you are welcome to have someone with him ( at least in our experience.)

My DH's infusion center suggests they bring whatever is needed to be comfortable and pass the time - blankets, laptops, headphones, etc. One "guest" is allowed. They even provide a beverage if you don't bring your own.

Thank you. First one told to expect 5 hours. They will be shorter by the 3rd treatment
