Galatians 5:22-23 New Living Translation

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

When I was a caregiver, I wasn’t perfect but the Holy Spirit’s fruit encouraged me to be kind and patient. I really do believe without Him I would have had a much, much harder time struggling between my own wants and the needs of my parents. I am thankful the Holy Spirit was teaching me and correcting me all through the last years of my parents’ lives and even now.

Love this, thanks for posting. This really is a tough journey. Going through it with my Mom. She wants only to be with me. I have to work and cannot retire. We go to church every Sunday. I love her so much watching her reactions on Sundays to worship, raising her hands, participating and laughing when Pastor says something funny. She thrives in Church. I am now seeking MC facilities as she trys to leave the house at night sometimes.

Thanks for posting this @VKB. Caring giving takes so much of you. Without my faith, not sure how I'd manage this difficult journey. It's not perfect, but I'm growing in so many ways during the experience.
