Although this is my first time posting, I have been following this board since the beginning of the year. My husband was officially diagnosed with EOA in January 2022. I was his full time caregiver at home while working from home FT - not easy, and not something that I would recommend to others. This board was such a source of information and comfort as we made our way through the final months of his journey. As I find myself walking through Stage 8 I continue to stop in, feeling a connection to all of the stories that are being shared. I wanted to say, on behalf of all of us "silent participants", Thank You!! Thank you for sharing your stories, you are helping more people than you realize.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband. We are never really prepared for that finality, but we have to remember that living in those later stages of this awful disease is not how they would want to live. I appreciate your post as it reminds me how valuable this forum was to me and that hopefully I can touch the lives of someone else during this difficult journey. I am also in stage 8 but still feel a connection to the people here. Sending hugs and prayers.
