Subcutaneous injection alternative for initial Leqembi treatment.

Although given preliminary FDA approval in July, has anyone had experience getting insurance coverage for weekly home injections instead of infusions every two weeks?

I was on this site, and just re-subscribed today. I was diagnosed with late stage Mild alzheimer's July 14, 2025. I have been doing well, I have seen 3 different opinions / neurologist. They all seem to agree on the diagnosis which did include a Pet scan, MRI, labs, and all the neurological testing. I declined the infusions last year due to insurance complications. I am now, once more, trying to accept this diagnosis. Can anyone relate to having such difficulty accepting this horrible diagnosis?

Sorry for the long post.

I know everything is very overwhelming right now. It did take me a bit to come to terms with my diagnosis. Please try to be kind to yourself as you process your diagnosis. I think one goes thru stages of grief, maybe. I can almost promise you that you will get through it, though. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Regarding Leqembi.

I got my first over a year or so of my Leqembi Infusion absolutely No Charge. I now just pay my normal Medicare Copay of $40 every two weeks.

I think the no charge part was due to a program my Dr. hooked my up with, see below info I found on "the Google"…

In my case, my Dr. enrolled me on my behalf. Maybe yours will too. If not, maybe reach out to your Dr. directly and explain your situation and am guessing they will help.
