Deep grief has returned

My DH died July, 2025. I cared for him in our home until he passed. I was finally feeling like there was life after dementia until my sister passed last week. The grief came flooding back. I just want to be home, not seeing anyone, not accomplishing anything. Just counting the hours until I can go to bed for another night of restless sleep.

How does anyone get through this? We were 6 siblings, now we are 3. Does this repeat every time a family member or friend dies? As I age, I know it will keep happening. Does it get easier?

Oh Jehjeh, I'm so sorry. Losing your sister and other siblings is hard, and I can understand how the loss of your sister brought back your other losses, especially your DH. I can't say it will get easier, but life will continue to go on. Last week is so recent. You can let the loss wash over you, and mourn all over again. And after a while there will be life after loss again.
