Today the family got together and we added Hospice for our mother. Poor woman has been through so much, now she will get more attention and better care. Still hurts to see mom in this condition, I put it in Gods hands as always.

I’m thankful your sister finally listened to you. Hopefully now things will go more smoothly for all of you.

I’m very sorry for this roller coaster with your sister and this journey. I suppose your sister wants more medical treatment for your mom, the reason for changing to palliative care? She wants to try to get her better and to keep her alive longer? Or is it simply to be contrary with you?

When mom was discharged from hospice, I tried very hard to get palliative in, just for another set of eyes at least. I knew we wouldn’t be doing any lifesaving/medical treatment anyway. For me that one visit, before hospice had to come back, was a waste of time and the little money it was out of pocket. Does your sis know hospice is covered by Medicare?

Im really sorry the relief from having hospice on board was short lived.

Me too. She is just not trusting the process. I tried it's not up to me.
